My Background & Journey into Psychotherapy

How It All Started

My passion for psychology and mental health began during my undergraduate studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I later pursued a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, solidifying my path in psychotherapy.

A Shift in My Calling

Initially drawn to criminal profiling and forensic psychology, I was fascinated by the human mind. However, as I continued my studies, I found my true passion in helping people heal and grow through therapy.

Training & Professional Experience

Specialized training in Treating Chronic Shame & Complex Trauma
Experience working with survivors of human trafficking
Facilitator for Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Groups
Emotional Support Specialist for Individuals Navigating Grief & Trauma

These experiences have deepened my understanding of resilience, healing, and the human experience, allowing me to offer empathetic and meaningful support to my clients.

My Approach to Therapy

Creating a Safe & Judgment-Free Space

I believe that therapy is a journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation. My approach is rooted in:
Empathy & Compassion – I listen without judgment and provide a safe space for you to be yourself.
Personalized Care – Every client is unique, and I tailor therapy to your needs and goals.
Practical Strategies – I provide real-life tools to help you manage stress, relationships, and mental well-being.
Holistic Healing – We explore not just thoughts and emotions, but also how physical health, environment, and lifestyle impact mental well-being.
